Shirley passed away peacefully at Hospice Simcoe on June 11, 2022, at the age of 97. Beloved wife of the late Norman Ellis. Loving mother of David (Vivian) and Peter (Debra). Grandmother of William and Tim (Jenn), Kelly (Tim) Jaye (Aimee) and great grandmother of Cameron, Mason, Rachel, Ruby and Edson, Morgan, Ashley, Jake. Lovingly remembered by her brother Alan (Joan, predeceased) and sister Mary (John, predeceased). Predeceased by brothers Jim (Jean) and Bob (Joyce, predeceased) and sister Beth (George). Shirley was very active in the community throughout her life. She loved singing barbershop with the Mello Blends and spent many hours volunteering with the Alzheimer’s Society as well as at the Royal Victoria Hospital. Shirley will be greatly missed by her many family members and friends. Our sincere thanks to the staff of the Barrie Manor for their wonderful care of Shirley over the final years of her life.
