Passed peacefully with her beloved husband Stan (of 68 years) and her family by her side at the Mill Creek Care Centre in Barrie, on Thursday June 8, 2017 at the age of 89. Honoured mother of Steven (Margaret), Craig (Andrea), Darrell (Karen) and Stanley Jr. Loving sister of Margueritte (pre-deceased), Eileen, Charlie and Sherrie. Will be sadly missed by her 9 grandchildren, 4 great-granchildren, nieces, nephews and many long-time friends. Cremation has taken place. Friends are invited to visit at the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 30 Worsley St., Barrie, on Wednesday, June 14, 2017 from 11 am until the time we celebrate Jean’s life in the Chapel at 12 pm. Following the service, guests are invited to remain for a reception luncheon in the Lounge. The family would like to take this opportunity to extend their heartfelt thanks for the exceptional care provided by the Mill Creek care givers. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Special Olympics Barrie would be greatly appreciated.
