Dave Rodgers, Inside Sales extraordinaire at Patene Building Supplies, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, August 29th, 2023, in Barrie, Ontario at the age of 57.

Born on June 15, 1966, in Alliston, Ontario. Known for his caring and fun personality, he made everyone around him feel like they were the most important person in the room.

With his contagious laughter and smile, Dave was a true joy to be around.

Throughout his life, Dave found solace and adventure in various hobbies and interests.

Baseball and hockey were passions that brought out his competitive spirit. As a die-hard fan of the Montreal Canadiens and the Pittsburgh Steelers Football team, he would often engage in spirited debates with fellow fans. If you ever wanted to witness true passion, all you needed to do was discuss sports with Dave.

Beyond sports, fishing was one of Dave’s favourite pastimes. He loved the peacefulness of being out on the water, waiting for the perfect catch. His love for fishing provided him with countless moments of tranquillity and reflection.

But what truly captured Dave’s heart were his Children Brandon, Brittany and Emma. He loved his two Bengal cats – Jasper and Tyson. They were not just pets to him; they were part of his family. Dave showered them with love and always made sure they had their fill of treats.

While Dave’s career achievements were commendable, it was his connection with family and friends that brought him the utmost pride. He embraced every opportunity to create cherished memories with loved ones. He always had a way of making everyone feel welcome and included.

Dave will be forever loved and remembered by his children Brandon, Emma, Brittany; and their mother Dianna Bolton. Dear brother to Alan, Doug, Dougie, Deb, Jackie, and predeceased by Brian. Uncle of Davey and Jeremy and to many others. Predeceased by his parents Donald and Maudie. Dave will be missed by extended family and friends.
