With a heavy heart we announce the passing of Keith Joseph Richards, he passed away peacefully at Hospice Simcoe, Barrie Ontario August 23, 2023. Keith will be sadly missed by his beloved wife of 73 years Shirley (nee Newberry), Children, Carol Hastie (Garry), Doug Richards (Marilyn), Ruth Mullin (late Stephen), Tom (Steven). Grandchildren: Bryan (Alysse) Hastie, Michael (Sherry) Hastie, Stephanie Mullin, Allison (Will) Mather, Lisa (Jarrid) Ashworth. Great Grandchildren: Matthew Hastie, Zachary Hastie, Carly Hastie, Sierra Hastie, Hadley Ashworth, Avery Mather. Brother of: Betty Webster (late Walter), Jim Richards (late Myrna), late Leah McDonald (late Stuart), Larry Richards (Mary Jo), Linda Chapple (late Larry).
Visitation will take place at the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 30 Worsley St., Barrie on Tuesday, August 29th, 2023 from 10 AM until the time we celebrate Keith’s life in the Chapel. Guests are invited to remain for a reception luncheon in the lounge before the family proceeds to Barrie Union Cemetery for the interment.
The family would like to extend special thanks to the wonderful staff and volunteers of Hospice Simcoe who took such wonderful care of Dad as well as the family during his final days. The presence of faithful friends whose visits meant so much to Dad and the family will be remembered always. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Simcoe Hospice.
