It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Dave Palmer at the age of 60.  Surrounded by family, he passed after a brief battle with pneumonia at the RVH on October 10th, 2022.  Dave leaves behind his devoted wife of 31 years Anne and his loving sons Tanner & Lucas.  He will be greatly missed by his siblings, Steve, Rhonda and Daniel (Adele), as well as his Siblings-In-Law Spike, Rob (Liane), Carrie (Michael), his Nieces & Nephews, Kris (Angela), Jenna, Troy (Alisha), Alaine (Bryan), Karalie (Tyler), Tanya and Jordan (Laura).  Also, his Great Nieces & Nephews Navy, Jacob, Jorja, Zoe, Beau, Mahogoni (Mike), Jasper, Chance and Dyelin, Blake, Riley and Garrett.  Dave was predeceased by his parents Bobbie and Ron Palmer as well as his nephew Colin.

Dave was born in Powassan Ontario with skates on his feet and a stick in his hands.  He also lived in Gravenhurst for a few years and then resided in Barrie.  So many amazing friends, so many good times and wonderful memories along the way!

Dave's profession was that of a Mason and he took great pride in his work, most of which will live on long after we are all gone.

His other passions were his family, friends, Molson Canadian and Hockey, especially the Detroit Red Wings.

Go Wings Go! Dave will continue to root for you from the great beyond.

He had a special skill of not holding back what was on his mind, as well as an amazing sense of humor which could make pretty well anyone laugh.

There are no words to describe how much he will be missed.

A Celebration of Dave’s life will take place on Saturday, November 12th, 2022 from 2 – 6 P.M. at the South Shore Community Centre, 205 Lakeshore Dr., Barrie, ON.

In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the charity of your choice.
