Died truly loved and at peace at Royal Victoria Hospital in Barrie Ontario on Thursday, September 8, 2022 after a lengthy illness. Howie was born in Toronto, Ontario January 26, 1943. He is predeceased by his father Howard Sydney Oram, his mother Edna Mae Burlie and his daughter-in-law Angela Oram. He was the soul mate and husband of Susan (Martin) Oram for 33 years.
Howard is survived by his 6 children, 2 stepchildren: Anthony (Gerri), Howard (Michelle), Maria (Rob), Derek (Gianna), Darby (Tara), Debbie (Gary), Shannon (Manlio), and Nick (Shannon). He will be greatly missed by his many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and many brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
Howard was an entrepreneur who had many businesses before he had retired. He dearly loved his family and friends including those at La Floresta RV & Golf Park in South Texas. That was where his heart was. Howie enjoyed travelling, RV’ing, golfing, cribbage, and hockey in his younger years. Howie lived his life to the fullest and he did it his way.
A graveside service will be held at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery, 208 Sunnidale Road, Barrie, on Tuesday, September 13, 2022 at 11:30am. In lieu of flowers, donations to the RVH Specialized Seniors Care Inpatient would be appreciated. Online condolences can be made at adamsfuneralhome.ca
