It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our mom, Josephine Michael of Barrie. Mom, in her 94th year, was called Home to our Lord on Sunday, May 28, 2017. Predeceased by her loving husband Maywood, adored mom of Gary (Bev) of Alliston, Andrea of Barrie, Stephen of Barrie, James (Christine) of Cranberry PA, and Wayne (Lisa) of Barrie. Cherished Sitee to Sue (Colleen), Cheri (Will), Andrew (Joelle), Marc (Julia), Matthew (Camille), Sheena (Victor), Mac, Mikayla, Joshua, Jeffery and Zackery. Beloved Great Sitee to Avalene, Logan, Aliya and Adrian. Josephine is survived by her dear brother-in-law Joseph (Charlotte) of Toronto and sister-in-law LuLu of Scottsdale, AZ. She will be greatly missed by many nieces, nephews and friends. Mom gave us the gift of her presence and her amazing sense of humour. She was devoted to her family and her home was always open to everyone. We are left with many cherished memories. A very special thank you to mom’s dear friend Ann from Amica at Barrie and all the amazing staff who loved and cared for her. Visitation will be held at ADAMS FUNERAL HOME 445 St. Vincent Street, Barrie on Thursday from 6-9 p.m. with Parish Prayers at 8:45 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held from St. Mary’s Catholic Church 65 Amelia Street, Barrie on Friday, June 2, 2017 at 10 o’clock a.m. Memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
