Marion left us peacefully in her 87th year. She touched so many with her characteristic kindness, vitality, humour, fortitude, and compassion. She was a treasured and loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and aunt. Marion is now reunited with the love of her life, Maurice, to whom she was married for 65 years. Mom will be treasured and remembered forever by her sons Daniel (Laura) and Michael. Marion was predeceased by parents Nelson and Viola Harris, as well as by siblings Douglas, Wallace, Grace, Donna and Doreen. She is survived by her sister Sandria. The McBride family wish to thank the entire staff at both Hospice Simcoe, and the Specialized Senior Care department at Royal Victoria Hospital. Heartfelt gratitude is also extended to the many caring and compassionate personal support workers from both Bayshore HealthCare and St. Elizabeth Health. If desired, donations in lieu of flowers may be made in Marion’s memory to Hospice Simcoe and are greatly appreciated by the family. A private service will comfort family and friends at a future date.
