Macdonald, Bernard “Bernie” of Barrie, ON (formerly of Angus, ON), passed away peacefully at Serenity Retirement Residence in Barrie, on Sunday, September 10th 2023 in his 91st year. Bernie was the first greenskeeper at Circle Pines golf course at CFB Borden, as well as opened Green Acres golf course on Hwy 90 in Angus. Bernie was a proud firefighter at CFB Borden and a charter member of the Angus and District Lions Club.
Beloved husband of the late Jean Macdonald. Loving father of Gale Connor (Maurice) and Paul Macdonald (Sandie). Cherished grandfather of Julie (Joe), Beth (Greg), Ryan (Lisa) and Krystal (Ryan). Dear great-grandfather of Madailein, Cadence, Linkin and Jaxen. Lovingly remembered by his brother Dan (Collette) and sister Marie (Tom). Dearest son of the late Archie and Anne. Predeceased by his brother Paul. Bernie will always be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his many nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.
At Bernie’s and the family’s request, cremation has taken place.
