January 9, 1928 – January 17, 2021

Passed peacefully at the Grove Park Home, Barrie on January 17th, 2021 at the age of 93 years. Predeceased by her beloved husband Ronald (2005). Loving mother of Wayne (Christine) and Karen (Philip) Cherished grandmother of Bryan (Melissa) and Daniel and great grandmother to Noah and Quinn. Daughter of the late Joseph and Lila Marshall.
Myrtle was loved by all those that knew her. She was adored and considered a surrogate mom to a few, Debra Wood of Newmarket and Patricia Humphrey of St. Pete Beach, Florida. Myrtle retired from the Royal Victoria Hospital in 1985. She had the biggest heart and a beautiful smile. She loved to knit, bowl, she could out skate anyone on the ice, loved to read and do her word puzzles. She was an avid fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Toronto Blue Jays. She had her favourite TV shows Price is Right, Young and the Restless, Bold and Beautiful, Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy. We used to chuckle as these shows took precedence over anything else no one dare interrupt her.
The Lambert Family would like to thank all the wonderful staff that took care of her and cared for her at the Grove Park Home. We would also like to thank Dr Nay, Nurse Tracey and the nurses in the Chemo suite of the RVH Cancer Centre. In memory of Myrtle and in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Simcoe Muskoka Regional Cancer Centre at RVH or the Canadian Alopecia Aerata Foundation in Kind City.
