Passed away at the IOOF Site of the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre on Saturday, May 8, 2021.
Rene Lafontaine in his 78th year loving husband of 54 years to Helen. Proud father of Grant Lafontaine, Justin Lafontaine and Denise (Keith) Chisholm. Cherished grandfather of Luke, Paige, Trevor and Natalie. Rene will be fondly remembered by his brother Roger Lafontaine as well as Mary, Drag and Karin Perisic, Mike and Shirley Phipps and David Jones. Predeceased by his sisters Jeanne-Mance Lafontaine (SFCC), Gertrude Coutou and Rita Frigault.

A private family interment will be held in Barrie Union Cemetery. Memorial donations to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated by the family.
