Lloyd Roger Jacobson, 90, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 24th, 2024 at Royal Victoria Hospital in Barrie, ON.
Born March 19th, 1933 to Eric and Lyli. He grew up in Thunder Bay, ON with his brother Gary. He attended the University of Manitoba where he graduated from the Engineering program. He spent his career working for Union Carbide. On July 7th, 1962, he married Ruth Hunter, and they had one child Margo.
Lloyd was predeceased by parents Eric and Lyli, wife Ruth, brother Gary, and daughter Margo.
Lloyd is survived by his granddaughter Jessika (David), grandson Jamie (Klarissa), son-in-law James (April), his nephews Eric (Lorna), Karl, Mark (Laura), and Glen (Shannon), nieces Jennifer (Matthew) and Lindsay.
Lloyd lived a full and vibrant life from beginning to end and touched the lives of many people along the way. He enjoyed reading, golfing, a beverage or two, a good meal, maintaining his pool, spending time with family and friends, and travelling. Lloyd is known for his generosity, wit, kindness, stubbornness, and wisdom. He will be sadly missed by many.
