Marnie St. John Hestand passed away on Monday, July 24th at the age of 63 after a two month and 10 day terminal cancer diagnosis. We would like to invite friends and family to join us in celebrating Mom’s life story at her Celebration of Life to be held this coming Sunday, July 30, 2017 at The Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 147, 410 St. Vincent Street, Barrie, ON L4M 4A6, 2nd floor banquet hall, from 12 noon to 4pm. Please note the entrance to the Legion is off of Ferris Lane. (The family will begin their speeches and presentation at 12:30pm. This event is children friendly (Grandma Marnie wouldn’t have it any other way) and we’ll have a children’s play area set up with movies and toys and activities. Refreshments and food to be provided. Cash bar.
As expressions of sympathy, donations can be made to Hospice Simcoe (http://www.hospicesimcoe.ca/) via their website or donation envelopes, which will be available at the Celebration of Life. If you choose to attend and would prefer to bring flowers, red roses or daisies can be brought to the event and placed around the room in honour of our Mom.
