Five days after celebrating her 94th birthday at the Mandarin, our beloved mother sustained a stroke. She slipped away quietly in the presence of her daughters; Ann Herbert-Honeywood of Barrie, Ontario and Janice Herbert-Bates of Parkland, Florida.
She was the proud “Nana” to Tyler, Amanda and Colin. Emma was born and raised in Port Huron, Michigan and was one of fifteen children. She is survived her sister Dorothy and her brother Leonard. She is fondly remembered by many niece and nephews who all have stories of their “Aunt Emma”.
Cremation has taken place. A funeral mass will be held at her home parish of St. Andrew the Apostle Church, 1 Fallons Lane, London Ontario, at 11 a.m. on Saturday March 30, 2019. She will be honoured by the CWL (Catholic Women’s League) during the mass as she was a long standing member.
