Helen 1

Helen Laurine Hamilton, mother, sports woman, artist and musician
was born on May 14, 1923 in Davidson Saskatchewan.
She was the last surviving daughter of a family of eleven brothers and sisters.
She leaves behind sons Dwight, Scott and Greg and daughter-in-law Carol
as well as a trove of nephews, nieces and friends. Helen had a zest for life and was active most of her life.
She loved sports and avidly followed hockey, curling and baseball,
especially her beloved Blue Jays.
She played in the British Columbia Seniors Curling Provincial League
and also taught curling as a licensed instructor. She belonged to several golf clubs, and as an amateur player
she won many tournaments and her house was filled
with trophies she had won over the years. But sports wasn't her only passion. Helen as an an artist,
painted dozens of pictures in oils, acrylics, and water colours.
And if this was not enough, she was a musician,
playing piano at house parties and sometimes just for the family.
She also taught Conservatory piano. She was compassionate, humorous, and loved to party.
She loved to read and have discussions around politics and sports. She will be greatly missed.
