Passed peacefully at his home in Minesing on January 4th, 2020 at the age of 72. Son of the late John and Betty (Johnson) Hamilton. Arnold was a loving husband of Sheila Hamilton (Savage). Arnold will be forever remembered by his children Sylvia Murdoch of Barrie, Justin Hamilton of Barrie, Amanda (Roderick) Hamilton of Spruce Grove, AB and his furry friend Patches. He will be missed by his grandchildren Jessica, Allison and Charlotte. Arnold will be missed by his sisters, and sister and brother-in-laws Janet Killoran of Canmore, AB, Ruth Hamilton of Golden, BC and brother Mark Hamilton of Greenwood, NS, Brenda Ann Fitzsimmons (Fred) of Halifax, NS, predeceased by Donna Ouellette (Gilbert) of Barrie and Jane Baker (Bernie) of Lower Sackville, NS along with several nieces, nephews and dear friends. Arnold loved his regular games of golf and many simple things in life such as keeping up with the neighbours, soaking up the sun, crossword puzzles, either with a cold beer or a hot coffee, depending on the occasion. In his earlier days he was known to spend many hours fishing, camping or hunting in his favourite places. Visitation will take place at the STECKLEY-GOODERHAM FUNERAL HOME, 30 Worsley St., Barrie, on Wednesday January 8th, 2020 from 11:30 a.m. until the time of service at 1 p.m with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
