Peacefully, in her 87th year at Victoria Village, Barrie on January 6th, 2020. Beloved wife of Peter for 67 years. Loving mother of Dan (Ann), the late Michael, the late James, Margaret (David) and Peter (Ruth). Cherished grandmother of Alana, Jessica, Geneviève, Solange, Shannon, Riley, Eric, and great-grandmother of Maëlle and Everly. Visitation will take place at the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 30 Worsley St., Barrie on Friday, January 17th, 2020 from 7-9 p.m. and on Saturday, January 18th from 12 p.m. until the time we celebrate Mary Lou’s life in the Chapel at 2 p.m. Following the service, guests are invited to remain for a reception luncheon in the Lounge. If desired, donations in lieu of flowers may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Canada. The family would like to take this opportunity to extend their heartfelt gratitude for the outstanding compassion and dedication provided by all the staff and volunteers at Victoria Village during the seven years that Mary Lou was in their care.
