August 26th, 1947 - October 19th, 2021
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jerry who passed peacefully in his 75th year, on October 19th, 2021, after a valiant battle with cancer. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife Shirley Roth of 22 years. Proud and loving father, Jerry will be dearly missed by his daughter Lisa Ferguson, (Jason Hansen), son Jerry Ferguson, (Julie Ferguson), Sherry Roth (Sean Newton) and Kim Roth. Cherished and extremely dedicated and devoted Grandfather of Bailey, Preston, Brooklyn Hansen, Owen Ferguson, Alicia Roth, Kaytlin Wilkinson and James Keogh and his great- grandson Connor Chatelain. He is survived by his caring brother James Ferguson and will be sadly missed by Sylvia Ferguson. Jerry is predeceased by his parents Gordon and Eva Ferguson and his sisters June Mc Millan, Janice, Judy and Jennifer Ferguson and his beautiful, predeceased daughter Deana Ferguson. He will be missed by all his valued extended family and friends and everyone at Barrie Welding Machine. Jerry was known to have a great sense of humour and had a great love for golf, Jerry had travelled all over and played on many golf courses.
A visitation will be held at the JENNETT FUNERAL & CREMATION CENTRE, 152 Bradford Street in Barrie on Friday, October 29th, 2021, from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. followed by a private family service. Please note that due to the current COVID restrictions, attendance will be limited. Cremated remains will be interred at Barrie Union Cemetery at a later date.
