Passed away at home on May 28th, 2023 after a brief struggle with cancer. Dorothy was born in Innisfil Township on April 17, 1939, the eldest of two girls of Ed and Arla Davis. She attended public and high school in Barrie and graduated from Toronto Teachers College in 1959. She taught at Oakley Park Public School in Barrie.
In 1964, she marries John Norman Elliott, known to everyone as Jack. Dorothy was a loving wife, mother and Grandmother. She will always be remembered by her family for passing along her love of games, especially cards, which were an important part of her family life. She is survived by her husband Jack, her son Jeffery (Sarah), her daughter Deborah (Brian), her grandchildren Owen, Jackson and Sierra and her sister Betty (Corby). Dorothy will be greatly missed by her cousins, nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank Bayshore Home Heath Care, North Simcoe Branch for their excellent nursing care and support. Dorothy has been interred at Bethesda Congregational Community Cemetery.
