Passed away unexpectedly at the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre, Barrie on February 27th, 2021 at the age of 78. Loving husband of Meryl (nee Elliott) for 55 years. Honoured father of James (Jennifer), David (Joan) and Robert (Sonja). Cherished grandfather of Chantale, Chloe, Max, and Henry. Will be sadly missed by many long-time friends and associates in Barrie, Orillia, and through his career as an O.P.P. Constable.
Cremation has taken place with arrangements entrusted to the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 30 Worsley St., Barrie. A celebration of Darrell’s life will follow at a later date, when safe gathering restrictions permit. If desired, donations to RVH are greatly appreciated by the family.
