Passed away at home on Thursday, June 15, 2023, at the age of 83. Beloved wife of the late Elmore Cudanin (2021). Loved mother to Melinda Cudanin, Mark Cudanin (Vicki), and “adopted” daughter Ana Marie Robles. Dear grandmother of Joshua Cudanin (Kayla), and great grandmother to Athena and Monica. Dear sister to Eden Vizcarra and predeceased by Evelito Valladolio.

Enoni Cudanin, an esteemed nursing professor and beloved member of the Barrie Seventh-Day Adventist Church, passed away on June 15, 2023, in her home in Barrie, Ontario. She lived a fulfilling life of service to others and will be missed by all who knew her.

Born in the Guinyangan, Quezon Province, Philippines on June 19, 1939, Enoni began her journey in healthcare by becoming a nursing professor at Philippine Union College/ Adventist University of the Philippines in 1960. From there, she went on to become Head Nurse on the Surgical Floor at New England Sanitarium Hospital and Nursing Teacher for Surgical Floor at St. John New Brunswick.

Enoni's passion for teaching and inspiring young nurses continued when she joined Branson Hospital's Nursing School for Psychiatry in 1967. But it was her tenure at Georgian College's Mental Health program where her talent really shone through. Enoni served as a professor there from 1973 until her retirement in 2000. During her time at the college, she made immense contributions to the field of mental health by not only teaching but also mentoring and empowering countless students.

Outside of her professional career, Enoni was actively involved with Barrie SDA Church for most of her life. She held various positions within the church community such as Elder, Women's Ministry Coordinator and Sabbat School Coordinator. Additionally, Enoni developed and coordinated programs around health ministry at the Barrie SDA Church throughout the years.

Following retirement from the Georgian College faculty in 2000, Enoni remained active within the church community hosting home-based services with her husband Elmore Cudanin being a crucial part of Simple Church initiative within SDA Conference which lasted till present times.

Enoni was not only dedicated to helping those around her but was also deeply committed to nurturing lifelong friendships with those who were fortunate enough to get to know her.

Family and friends will be received at the Barrie Seventh-Day Adventist Church, 140 Mapleton Avenue, Barrie on Monday, June 26, 2023, from 10 a.m. until time of Funeral Service at 11 o’clock a.m. Reception at Church to follow.
