James (known as Chris to his family and friends) died peacefully with family by his side at the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre on September 10th, 2020 at the age of 79 years.
Scottish to the bone, Chris was a talented tiler and builder, a diehard Leafs fan and lover of song. His dry sense of humour and endless hope that the Leafs will win the Cup will not be forgotten.
Chris will be reunited with his beloved wife Elizabeth, and will be dearly missed by his daughter Roz (Gary); grandchildren Lee (Adam) and David (Megan); great-grandchildren Penny, Roger and Felix; and his bird Lucky.
In keeping with James's wishes, cremation has taken place and will be interred alongside his wife at Highland Memory Gardens in Toronto. Funeral arrangements entrusted to the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 30 Worsley St., Barrie.
