Dakota

Dakota Ann Cascagnette (Kodi), passed away peacefully in her mothers arms on November 1, 2021 in Barrie, Ontario at the young age of 8. Kodi was born on September 27, 2013 in Barrie, Ontario to proud Mom, Jennifer Cascagnette.

Sometimes, Life puts people in your lives because it knows you can handle all it throws at you, life just knows you’re that person’s perfect match and that you’re truly meant to be together. That’s how it was with Jenn Cascagnette and her daughter Dakota (aka Kodi).

From the moment Kodi was born Jenn was the most incredible mother, she devoted her entire life to Dakota, her needs and her care. Jenn not only made sure she was educated on Dakotas health issues, medications, treatments and therapies, but also made sure she knew how to perform all treatments and be able to take care of every single one of Kodi’s needs herself. Jenn was meant to be Dakota's mother as much as Dakota was meant to be Jenns daughter. They shared an incredible bond and connection. The love they shared was like no other.

Momma and Koda Forever

Jenn met Dakota’s Dad in 2015 and from the moment Bryan and Kodi met it was love at first sight. Bryan was destined to be Dakota’s Daddy. Bryan has given all of himself to being the most incredible Daddy any little girl could ask for. Kodi would light up whenever she heard his voice and always looked for him. Kodi absolutely loved her special Daddy Daughter time~ from singing in the bathtub to watching her favourite team, The Toronto Maple Leafs. Bryan will forever hold dear the special moments, laughter and love they shared. Love you Koda Bear.

Dakota will be deeply missed by her devoted parents Jennifer Cascagnette & Bryan Timmerman. She will be lovingly remembered by her Grandparents, Debbie & Robert Cascagnette, Carla and Thomas King and Moira Cadieux. Forever Loved by her Aunts and Uncles, Kristin & Paul McBeth, Michelle & Trevor Ritchie, Jeffrey Cascagnette & Dana Andersen, Nichole & Neil Duguay, Jeffrey Cadieux and Jon & Tina Cadieux. Kodi will be forever cherished and lovingly remembered by her cousins, Addisyn & Colton McBeth, Hank & Blayke Ritchie and Cayden, Owen & Eliott Duguay.

Dakota loved spending time with her cousins, she loved being part of the crowd and hearing the kids call out- the louder, the better. Dakota brought her contagious energy everywhere she went, she could light up a room with her smile and her bright blue eyes could take your breath away. Kodi, your light will forever live in the hearts of all those you’ve loved.

Dakota will be forever missed and always remembered by all who knew her.

An outdoor Celebration of Life will be held in spring of 2022, as Dakota loved being outside.
