Peacefully, with his wife by his side, Michael Bagley passed away on Friday October 13th, 2023 at the age of 74.
Michael, born to Carroll and Pearl of Norton, New Brunswick, will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 51 years, Theresa; his daughter, Ellen (Jeremy); his brother William (Gail); and his sister-in-law Cathie (Dwayne). Predeceased by his brother Fr. Peter Bagley. He was a proud Papa to his grandsons, Mikey and Jason.
Shortly after arriving in Toronto, he married the love of his life, Theresa, in April of 1972. They settled in Barrie, Ontario and welcomed their only daughter, Ellen. Although he and Theresa had built a foundation of family and friends in Barrie, Michael returned to Norton often, as it had always been home to him while spending time with his brothers, extended family and friends. A great source of joy was the opportunity to pass down the experiences as well as visiting the favourite places and people from his childhood with his grandsons each summer that they spent time at "Papa's House".
The family cannot adequately express their appreciation for all support received from the countless nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends during this time.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00AM, on Friday, October 27th, 2023, at St. Mary's Parish, 65 Amelia St, Barrie, ON. Internment will be held at St. Mary's Cemetery followed by a reception in the hall at St. Mary's Parish.
In lieu of flowers, Memorial Donations may be made in Michael's name to The Terry Fox Foundation or Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre Foundation.
