Wilf died peacefully at Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre on July 23, 2023 in his 75th year with family by his side.  He is survived by his beloved wife Ann McClure, son Scott (Michelle and her children Autumn and Brady), and daughter Nicole (Josh) and grandchildren Tyler, Madeline (Matthew), and Sam.   He will be dearly missed by his sister Patricia and her children Brodie and Morgan, sister-in-law Janice and her children Joel (Kate) and Ashleigh (Trevor), and his great nieces and nephews Alexander, Lyndsey, Michael, Reese, Ryerson, and Isla. He also leaves behind his mother-in-law, Margaret McClure, Ann’s children Kelly (David), and Kevin (Jeannie) and their children Caleb, Sophie, Emersyn, and Cameron, and the extended McClure family.

His presence will be missed by the Andrews and Tremblay families, and many friends both life-long and recent.

Wilf was a career lineman working for Etobicoke Hydro, Wasaga Beach Hydro, and Mississauga Hydro.  He also enjoyed his weekend work with G.T. Wood. Wilf loved to be outside whether it was fishing, boating, or spending time with his dad, Tom, in his earlier days, or hiking, biking, kayaking, and golfing in his later years.  Skiing was a lifelong passion.  He skied with his children, nieces, nephews, and grandchildren. Wilf and his sister Pat had a standing date for an annual ski holiday for well over 20 years.  During retirement, Wilf worked part time for Snow Valley Ski Resort greeting the school buses and helping the children get ready for a day of skiing.

Wilf loved the many memorable trips he and Ann took after his retirement in 2008.  He was always ready to lend a helping hand, share a laugh and enjoy a good party.  Wilf could talk to anybody, and he worked hard at keeping up with his family and friends.

Many thanks to the staff at Roberta Place who took such good care of him for the past 18 months, also to Dr. Sharma, and the nursing staff at RVRHC during his last few days.

Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
