The Canadian Cancer Society's CIBC Run for the Cure returns to Centennial Park this fall.

Registration is now open to run or walk either the one-kilometre or five-kilometre in support of breast cancer awareness.

Participants can either fund-raise individually or on a team.

“Funds raised through the CIBC Run for the Cure enable us to invest in life-saving breast cancer research, provide compassionate support programs, and continue to work with governments to shape a healthier society,” organizers stated in a news release.

One in eight women are expected to face a breast cancer diagnosis in their lifetime.
