Blue Mountain Resort in the Collingwood area says it is still on track to start up a chairlift this week, with opening day on Thursday.
Starting at 9 a.m., Dec. 7, skiers and snowboarders are invited to kick off another winter season at Blue with the Silver Bullet chairlift operating service for Tranquility ski run.
The Easy Rider beginner carpet will also be running from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
There will be complimentary hot chocolate at the lift plaza.
Lift tickets can be purchased in advance and picked up at the kiosks at Blue. Guest services opens at 9 a.m.
Night skiing is scheduled to start Dec. 14.
