TINY TOWNSHIP – On July 13, 2016 members of the Southern Georgian Bay OPP Detachment of the Ontario provincial Police (OPP) responded to seven separate incidents of mischief and theft in the area of Kitching Lane and Tiny Beaches Road South in Tiny Township.

The incidents took place sometime overnight from July 12 to July 13, 2016. Private property trespassing signs had been removed from the property of area beach residences.

Some of the signs were later located in the vicinity in a damaged condition, while other signs were stolen.

Homeowners have every right to erect a sign on their property indicating that it is private property and the public is not welcome.

Removing and damaging signage is a criminal offence of Mischief and Theft contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada. The OPP are actively seeking information that may lead to the arrest of the person(s) responsible for these mischiefs and thefts.
