Take a step back in time with a Victorian Christmas (4 photos)

Victorian Christmas continues on Friday night from 6-9 p.m.

From lantern-lit pathways to horse-drawn wagon rides through the forest and carols in a cozy church, the Simcoe County Museum's Victorian Christmas will take you back in time in a hurry.

The indoor/outdoor event opened on Thursday and continues tonight (Friday, Dec. 14) from 6-9 p.m.

“It is a great night and one that everyone enjoys year after year,” said Forrest Patenaude, the museum’s supervisor of education and visitor engagement.

“I think people really enjoy getting back to the roots of Christmas and the feeling of being surrounded by not only family and friends but strangers who are just as festive and happy as they are," he added.

Visitors can also see Father Christmas walking around, visit the vendor booths and samples some food from various eras.
