Severe thunderstorm warning issued for:
   Orillia - Lagoon City - Washago, Ont.
   Innisfil - New Tecumseth - Angus, Ont. 
   Barrie - Collingwood - Hillsdale, Ont. 

Current details:
At 5:31 p.m. EDT, Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a severe thunderstorm capable of producing very strong wind gusts and up to nickel size hail.

This severe thunderstorm is located near Midhurst, moving east at 50 km/h.

Hazard: 90 km/h wind gusts and nickel size hail.

Locations impacted include:
Barrie, Midhurst, Little Lake, Oro, Kempenfelt Bay, Big Bay Point and Hawkestone.

Large hail can damage property and cause injury. Strong wind gusts can toss loose objects, damage weak buildings, break branches off trees and overturn large vehicles. Locally heavy rain is also possible.

Emergency Management Ontario recommends that you take cover immediately if threatening weather approaches.

Severe thunderstorm warnings are issued when imminent or occurring thunderstorms are likely to produce or are producing one or more of the following: large hail, damaging winds, torrential rainfall.
