RVH appoints new chief of staff

Following a nation-wide search, Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre (RVH) is pleased to announce that Dr. Jeffrey Tyberg will be joining RVH as its new Chief of Staff.

Dr. Tyberg, a specialist in Emergency Medicine, comes to RVH from Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre where he is presently Chief, Department of Emergency Services.

He was previously Chief and Medical Director of Emergency Medicine at Toronto East General Hospital.

"I very much look forward to starting in my new leadership role and helping to assure that RVH delivers on its strategic plan to lead in the delivery of the safest, highest quality, patient-centered health services to the people of North Simcoe Muskoka,” says Dr. Tyberg. “This is an exciting time at RVH and I am very pleased to have the opportunity to be a part of such a fine organization.” 

Dr. Tyberg’s résumé features a long list of impressive professional and academic achievements.

He achieved his Bachelor of Science and medical degree from McGill University completed his specialty training in emergency medicine at Long Island Jewish Medical Center and a Fellowship in clinical pharmacology and toxicology at the Hospital for Sick Children.

He completed a Master of Business Administration at the University of Toronto’s Rotman School of Management in 2015.

Dr. Tyberg will begin his new role September 1, 2016.
