Area drivers, take a note.
Dunlop Street between Maple Avenue and Mulcaster Street will be closed from 5 a.m. to 11:59 p.m., on multiple Saturdays until October.
These closures will facilitate the hosting of the 2023 Open Air Dunlop event.
The City of Barrie says Five Points Intersection will remain open to northbound and southbound traffic. Emergency services will have access to respond within the designated closure area, but they will not be able to travel through it.
The road closures have been scheduled by the Downtown Barrie BIA, its affiliated contractors and the city.
Below are the dates of the events when the roads will be closed:
- Saturday, June 10
- Saturday, June 24
- Saturday, July 1
- Saturday, July 15
- Saturday, Aug. 12
- Saturday, Aug. 26
- Saturday, Sept. 9
- Saturday, Sept. 23
- Saturday, Oct. 7
- Saturday, Oct. 28
