The Barrie Chamber of Commerce is honoured to announce the opening of nominations for the 2023 Barrie Business Awards. The nomination process is open to members of the public as well as Barrie Chamber Members, to nominate, recognize and encourage an individual, business or organization that has excelled over the past year.
The Barrie Business Awards are a longstanding recognition program that celebrates the contribution of local businesses to the continued growth and success of our community.
These awards recognize social responsibility, entrepreneurial spirit, risk taking and innovation, as well as financial success. These businesses all contribute to a stronger local economy as well as to the strength of our community as a whole.
The award categories for 2023 are:
- Manufacturing, Engineering, & Construction Business Excellence Award
- Hospitality & Tourism Business Excellence Award
- New Business Award
- Marketing & Promotions Award
- Mayor’s Employer of the Year Award
- Employee of the Year Award
- Service Sector Business Excellence Award
- Not-For-Profit or Charitable Organization Award
- Business Growth Award
- Pay It Forward Award
- Small Business of the Year Award
- Young Professional of the Year Award
- Arch Brown Entrepreneur Award of Excellence
- *New* Leadership in Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Award
The Chamber is also excited to announce the addition of the “Leadership in Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Award”. This award is presented to a business that embraces cultural differences, exemplifies leadership and commitment to equitable practices that builds an inclusive workplace. This individual or business addresses advancing diversity, equity and the removal of barriers in the Greater Barrie Community with clear and positive impacts as a result of their efforts within the last year.
The Barrie Chamber of Commerce would like to invite all members of the public to nominate a deserving business today.
