NEWS RELEASE

BARRIE POLICE SERVICE

*************************
On Sunday, June 12, 2016 Barrie Police were called to an address on Neilson Street, in the City of Barrie, in regards to an ongoing neighbour dispute.

An investigation into some damaged tires led to the seizure of a small nail located in the side wall of the victims rear tire.

This is the second time nails have been located in the sidewall of the victims tires within the last seven months.

Police spoke to other residents in the area and were able to get witness statements for activity around the vehicle the night before by another tenant of the building.

Police spoke to the suspect and observed corn holders in his kitchen that had the same nails as the ones located in the tire.

The 42-year-old Barrie man was arrested and charged with mischief under $5,000.

He was released on a Promise to Appear and Undertaking with conditions. He will appear in court in July to answer to his charge.
