Freezing rain today changing to periods of rain then ending late this morning, followed by clouds and wind with a high plus 10.

Environment Canada has issued a freezing rain warning for Barrie, Orillia and Midland:

4:43 AM EST Wednesday 3 February 2016
Freezing rain warning in effect for:

  • Barrie - Collingwood - Hillsdale
  • Midland - Coldwater - Orr Lake
  • Orillia - Lagoon City - Washago

Freezing rain will change to rain early this morning.

Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become icy and slippery.

Take extra care when walking or driving in affected areas. Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions.

Utility outages may occur.

Freezing rain warnings are issued when rain falling in sub-zero temperatures creates ice build-up and icy surfaces.
