Family fun at Labour Day Picnic

Annual tradition is a free community event

Hundreds of Barrie residents took the opportunity to enjoy a free picnic at Sunnidale Park on holiday Monday.

The Barrie Labour Day Picnic is an annual tradition put on by the Barrie and District Labour Council to celebrate the achievements of workers and the labour movement.

Picnic goers enjoyed free hot dogs, cake and live music by the band Blues Connection.

There was also a bouncy castle, children's activities, orange balloons, cold water and information booths.
