NEWS RELEASE

BARRIE POLICE SERVICE

***************************
Early Saturday night, Barrie Police were called to a residential neighbourhood just outside of the downtown core with regards to an intoxicated male knocking things over.

On arrival officers were flagged by a resident advising that the male had just attempted to enter his home.

Officers located the male, a 61-year-old male from Muskoka, and arrested him for his safety and to prevent him from causing damage or further nuisance to the neighbours.

The man was taken to the Barrie Police Station to "sleep it off" and will be released with a ticket for Public Intoxication.
