Barrie Police tell us Alex Daka has been located and arrested by the OPP ROPE Squad.

June 13 original story:

Barrie Police Service are cautioning the public that a male on Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement status may be in the area.

Alex Daka, age 33, is currently unlawfully at large from the Beaver Creek Institution in Gravenhurst, Ontario.

He is described as an Aboriginal male, 6' tall, 200 pounds heavy (stocky build) with black hair and brown eyes.

Police say Daka also has numerous tattoos on his chest and arms.

Daka, who is wanted under a Canada-wide Federal Parole Warrant, is known to have associates in Barrie, Midland and Central Ontario.

Police are asking members of the public to not approach Daka if he is spotted but to contact police immediately via 911.
