The suspects are believed to be involved in a country-wide crime spree through British Columbia (BC) and Alberta, leading into Ontario.

Earlier this month, police in BC had attempted to arrest three parties at a hotel, but were unsuccessful when the parties fled the scene in their vehicle.

During the investigation firearms were located as well as evidence of other criminal activity.

Warrants had been sought for the three parties for various fraud and property related offences.

On Sunday, June 12, 2016 Barrie Police Investigative Services attended the Comfort Inn located at 75 Hart Drive, in the City of Barrie, and confirmed two of the wanted persons were staying at the hotel.

The male party exited the hotel and fled the scene in his vehicle evading police. A short time later a female exited the hotel and was placed under arrest.
