ORILLIA – On February 1, 2016 at approximately 5:30 p.m., members of the Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) in conjunction with, Community Drug Action Team (CDAT), Central Region Emergency Response Team (ERT), Central Region Canine Unit, and members from the Orillia Detachment executed a search warrant at a residence on Mary Street in the City of Orillia.

During the execution of the search warrant police located and seized Cannabis Marijuana, Cannabis Resin, Cocaine, Ecstasy, Psilocybin (Magic Mushrooms), LSD (Acid) and a quantity of Canadian currency.

A 29-year-old male and a 22-year-old female both of Orillia have been charged with numerous drug related offences, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, and possession of property obtained by crime.

Both parties have been held in custody pending a bail hearing today in Orillia Criminal Court.
