Broken headlight leads to drug charges

Shortly after 1 a.m. on the 3rd of April 2016, a uniformed Sergeant on patrol in Bradford observed a vehicle being operated with a head light out.

The officer followed the vehicle into a service station where he spoke with the occupants.

While speaking with the occupants, illegal drugs, a large amount of cash and drug packaging material was observed in plain view.

As a result the occupants were arrested.

A search of the vehicle turned up a quantity of cash, cocaine, Oxycodone and marijuana all of which was seized.

Two men from Bradford, ages 22 and 23 are facing six charges each under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act, including possession for the purpose of trafficking.

The men will appear in Bradford court in May 2016.
