Last week, BarrieToday asked you, our loyal readers, to join us in supporting the Barrie Food Bank this festive season - and your response was nothing short of extraordinary.

During the holidays, an increased number of people are reliant on our local food bank. This increased need means that the Barrie Food Bank needs our support more than ever.

BarrieToday brought our whole community together to help provide that support.

We partnered with Farm Boy Barrie to offer food packages for purchase through an online pop-up store.

BarrieToday and generous local businesses pledged to match every purchase made through the online store, meaning that every purchase was matched three times!

Together, we raised an incredible $3,442 for the Barrie Food Bank and delivered 15 food packages, helping to support those who need it most over the holiday season. Thank you!

Special thanks to Farm Boy Barrie for donating the food packages for this initiative, and to the following businesses who have joined us in matching each donation: Paul Sadlon and Action Tire.

If you didn't get a chance to participate in this program, we encourage you to send your donation directly to the local food bank. You can donate online, call (705-725-1818) to arrange a donation, or click here for more information on how to give back.
