Area company donates $50K to residential school awareness campaign

A Muskoka-based company called Wolf Energy made a $50,000 donation to Woodland Cultural Centre’s Save the Evidence campaign on Friday  Orange Shirt Day. 

Company owner Lenny Montour and his wife, Deanna, made the donation to Wahta Chief Philip Franks, who also serves as vice-chairperson for the Woodland Cultural Centre's board of directors.

"My goal is to inspire other businesses with the fundraising efforts," said Lenny, who added most of their customers are commuters from Barrie and some of their staff also live in the city.
