Another weekend means another Saturday of Open Air fun on Dunlop

Oji-Cree singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Aysanabee will perform Saturday afternoon at Meridian Place Stage in downtown Barrie

For a 15th consecutive Saturday, Dunlop Street will be closed to motorized transportation and open to roam by foot with lots to see and do!

Grab a coffee and stroll through the Barrie Farmers' Market located at Barrie City Hall (70 Collier St.) and along Mulcaster Street. Open from 8 a.m. to noon.

Fun with Urban Sketching — This Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. This week will be hosted by Neil Smith, who also instructs at both the Spare Room at Lakeshore Mews and the Drawing House over on Mary Street. Pick up a pen or pencil and capture the beauty of downtown on a sunny September morning. All materials will be provided and all ages and abilities are welcome!

West End Family Fun — Located across from the Pratt Homes Theatre, enjoy free access to fun interactive games, inflatables, and face painting. Join us from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. for lots of family fun in the west end!!!

Create a Mini Mural in Meridian Place — Join us from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. for an inspiring art activity where you can take home your very own miniature mural. Led by Monica Loney, a local artist who helped create the Strawberry Mural located at 54 Maple Ave. All materials will be provided and all ages and abilities are welcome. Keep an eye out for more murals coming soon! 

Learn more about Barrie’s own Semi-Professional Soccer Club — Simcoe County Rovers Football FC join in on the fun at Meridian Place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Be sure to be on the look out for GIANTS IN THE SKY! — Brought to you by Talk Is Free Theatre. Performances will be taking place over the weekend at multiple outdoor locations around Downtown Barrie.  For tickets and to learn more go to www.tift.ca.

Open Air Afternoons takes over the Meridian Place Stage from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. with live music! Joining us this weekend for some Saturday afternoon tunes is Oji-Cree singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist Aysanabee! With music ranging from Lofi-R&B to Folk and Indie-pop, there’s something for everyone to enjoy!

Keep an eye out for stilt walkers and jugglers roaming Dunlop Street for your amusement.

Of course, our local businesses will be open to welcome you to browse and shop at your leisure.
