17-year old in serious condition after rollover

A single vehicle collision in Belle Ewart has left a 17-year-old Innisfil male in serious condition

On April 1, 2016 around 12:45 p.m. South Simcoe Police responded to a single motor vehicle collision on Belle Aire Beach Road, Belle Ewart.  

A vehicle was travelling eastbound at a high rate of speed when the driver lost control.

The vehicle went into the ditch and rolled several times.  

There were six occupants in the vehicle.

One of the passengers, a 17-year-old male from Innisfil, was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected from the vehicle and sustained serious injuries.  

The other occupants of the vehicle were all wearing seat belts and sustained only minor injuries

The incident is still under investigation.

Drivers and their passengers are once again reminded of the importance of always wearing their seat belts.
