Sirius XM Top of the Country winner Matt Lang will be joining Canadian country star Tebey on the upcoming The Good Ones tour, which kicks off Jan. 15 in Kamloops, concludes in Montreal on Feb. 8 and includes a Barrie date on Feb. 1.
Lang’s latest single, Water Down The Whiskey, released earlier this year via Jayward Entertainment Group/Sony Music Canada to all digital retailers was the Most Added song at all Canadian radio formats and the country radio format the week of release.
During Country Music Week in Calgary, Lang won the coveted Sirius XM Top of the Country contest, which included $25,000 in prize money and a trip to song writing trip to Nashville, a promising start for the songwriter as he brings his music into the English market.
Lang’s debut single, Love Me Some You, has over 1.6 million Spotify plays and 2.6 million all-time streams, kickstarting his Canadian country music career in English Canada. The follow-up single, My Final Pour, now has over 1.2 million all-time streams.
Hailing from Maniwaki, Que., Lang has always wanted to bring Nashville to Quebec – he has performed over 75 dates in the past two years and has more than 25 dates for the remainder of 2019.
His undeniable talent, quickly got him noticed by the Canadian country music community in English Canada, and in February 2019 he was signed to new record label and management company, Jayward Artist Group Inc. Based in Toronto, Jayward was founded by successful singer/songwriter/producer, Tebey, and veteran artist manager/label executive, Jill Snell.
