Thank you, BarrieToday and David Hawke, for this essential primer on what the Oro Moraine is, what is happening to it now and what will kill it if development continues unfettered.

This is a three-alarm assault on residents and their environment.

1. Our water is being privately harvested at will and sold at huge profits.

2. There is no monetary reserve by local, county or provincial governments earmarked to restrain or correct the damage done by water harvesting and land development.

2. Resident taxpayers will be forced to fix things at some point.

We should all be very alarmed.
