The following letter is in response to a story titled 'Sea Cadets relocation, sports field get early OK for south shore,' published May 9. The matter is up for further discussion at Barrie city council on Wednesday night.

We have lived on Cumberland Street for over 50 years and it has been enjoyable.

We have grave concerns about the level of crowd noise that would probably go sky high when a large number of sports or music fans yell and scream attending an event … not to mention the way the sound travels, especially bass drums thumping so loud we can’t even sit outside.

Unacceptable!

Please consider this as our strong vote against not the Sea Cadets setting up here, but the inclusion of a venue that would involve loud noisy crowds.
