BREAKING: Canadian Press declares Khanjin victor in Barrie-Innisfil

Update: Around 10 p.m., Andrea Khanjin arrived at her election night party at Ol' West Wing on Ferndale Drive South in Barrie. Canadian Press has her with 50.3 per cent of the vote with 26 of 40 polling stations reporting. The NDP's Pekka Reinio is in second with 19.3 per cent, followed by the Liberals' John Olthuis in third with 18 per cent.

The Canadian Press has declared Progressive Conservative incumbent Andrea Khanjin the winner in Barrie-Innisfil. 

With the victory, Khanjin claims her second term in the riding. 

CP had Khanjin with 48.9 per cent of the vote with 14 of 40 polling stations reporting. 

The NDP's Pekka Reinio was in second with 20.2 per cent, followed by Liberal candidate John Olthuis with 18.3 per cent. 

Meanwhile, in Barrie's north end, Liberal candidate Jeff Lehman and PC incumbent Doug Downey are in a close race in Barrie-Springwater-Oro-Medonte as of 9:30 p.m.

CP has Lehman at 42 per cent with 24 of 67 polling stations reporting, followed by Downey with 41.6 per cent.

The NDP's Beverley Patchell sat in third with 7.8 per cent, while the Greens' Elyse Robinson was fourth with 4.1 per cent. 

The polls closed at 9 p.m.
