The Pioneers Volleyball Club U13 team won bronze at the OVA tournament last weekend.

The following was submitted on behalf of the Pioneers Volleyball Club, which operates in Barrie, Innisfil and York Region.

The Ontario Volleyball Association (OVA) hosted its annual provincial championships last weekend in Ottawa.

We are proud to announce that our U13 girls team won a bronze medal on April 28. That ranked them third out of 32 teams in their division.

Such an amazing accomplishment for the girls in their first year playing together as a team and, for most of them, their first year experiencing provincials.

The event was wonderful and our girls definitely worked hard. Their coach came in and guided them, helping them be the best they could be.

Congratulations to our PVC Voltage U13 girls volleyball team!

The team includes Aadrie Tulloch, Abigail Stillar, Annika Orr, Celine Gomes, Danielle Mickevicius, Ella Uka, Isabella Sarginson, Madison Domingues, Mikaela Shamoon, Miller Palmer, Roslyn Johnston and Sofia Mickevicius.

And their amazing coach is Edi Uka. Special thanks to him for taking the girls to the next level.

Congratulations again to the team and thank you to all the parents for their continued support.
